Pete Shelley Dead - Buzzcocks Leader Dies at 63

Pete Shelley has sadly passed away at the age of 63.

The lead singer and co-founder of the English punk rock band Buzzcocks died of a suspected heart attack on Thursday (December 6) in Estonia, BBC reports.

His bandmates tweeted a statement, saying, “Pete‘s music has inspired generations of musicians over a career that spanned five decades and with his band and as a solo artist, he was held in the highest regard by the music industry and by his fans around the world.”

Buzzcocks were best known in the U.S. for their 1978 single “Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn’t’ve).”

Pete is survived by his brother Gary.
