Ryan Reynolds Will Star in Action Rom-Com 'Shotgun Wedding'!

Ryan Reynolds has an exciting new role!

The 42-year-old actor will star in the upcoming Shotgun Wedding, The Hollywood Reporter confirmed on Tuesday (January 29).

Pitch Perfect director Jason Moore will helm the action romantic-comedy film, which is based on “a couple whose extravagant destination wedding is overrun by criminals. The couple must save both of their families, and along the way are reminded of why they wanted to get married.”

Ryan will also be co-producing the film. It’s his first romantic comedy since The Proposal in 2009.

The movie will begin shooting this summer.
