Aaron Paul Says Bryan Cranston Always Lied To Him About His Death On 'Breaking Bad'

Aaron Paul paid a visit to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Monday night (December 16) and dished about the many times he thought he was being killed off Breaking Bad because of fake signals sent to him by co-star Bryan Cranston.

“The fifth or sixth episode, [his character Jesse] he was going to die from like a rival gang. At the end of the first season, Walt [Bryan] takes revenge and I did not know that,” the 40-year-old actor revealed. “Thank god they changed their mind.”

“Bryan would always toy around with me that I was going to die,” Aaron continued. “I think he did know that I was supposed to die, but they just kept it a secret from me. Towards the end of the first season, [creator] Vince told me that was the plan and I couldn’t shake it until we were done shooting the show. I always thought I was going to die.”

Aaron Paul also talked about teaming up with Bryan on their brand new mezcal, Dos Hombres Mezcal – Watch the full interview here!
