Marvel Boss Clarifies Comment About Trans Characters Coming 'Very Soon'
Marvel’s Kevin Feige made headlines this week after he opened up about the future of LGBTQ+ representation in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
During a Q&A, Kevin was asked specifically about “trans characters” being introduced to the films and he replied, “very soon, in a movie that we’re shooting right now.”
Now, the comments are being backtracked as Kevin only meant that an LGBTQ+ character would be introduced “very soon,” not specifically a trans character.
Variety reports that he “only intended to respond to the first part about LGBT+ characters, and he did not mean to imply that a trans character will be coming to the MCU ‘very soon.’”
Most fans believe that the first major gay character in the MCU will be part of Eternals.
