Senator Ted Cruz Self Quarantines After Coming Into Contact with Coronavirus

Texas Senator Ted Cruz is self-quarantining after he came into contact with someone with Coronavirus.

“I’m not experiencing any symptoms, and I feel fine and healthy,” Cruz said in a statement, posted on his Twitter account. “Given that the interaction was 10 days ago, that the average incubation period is five-to-six days, that the interaction was for less than a minute, and that I have no current symptoms, the medical authorities have advised me that the odds of transmission from the other individual to me were extremely low.”

He will remain quarantined for 14 days.

Arizona Rep. Paul Gosar also announced his own self-quarantine after he came into contact with the same person.

Apparently, the interaction went down at last month’s Conservative Political Action Conference.

We don’t have much recent news on Ted Cruz, except that he got into a Twitter fight with a famous celebrity a few years back.
