During the rally, Trump confirmed that he “will put forward a nominee next week” and that his choice “will be a woman,” via the Wall Street Journal.

“It will be a woman, a very talented, a very brilliant woman,” he said, adding that he hasn’t made a final decision yet.

“I could see most likely it would be a woman. If somebody were to ask me now, I would say that a woman would be in first place. I actually like women much more than I like men. I have to say,” he added.

His supporters began chanting “Fill that seat” during the rally.

“Let’s make a t-shirt. Fill the seat. That’s a good idea. That’s what we are going to do. We’re going to fill that seat,” he told the crowd.

“I think the choice will be next week,” he also said to reporters.

Shortly before her death on Friday (September 18), RBG told her granddaughter her final wish.
