Hope Hicks, One of Trump's Top Aides, Tests Positive for Coronavirus

Hope Hicks, who is known to be one of President Trump‘s aides, has tested positive for coronavirus.

An administration official anonymously revealed to the Associated Press that Hicks tested positive after traveling with Trump to a rally on Wednesday.

Hicks traveled with Trump multiple times this week, including on the president’s helicopter Marine One and airplane Air Force One. She is believed to be the person closest to the president who has tested positive so far.

“The President takes the health and safety of himself and everyone who works in support of him and the American people very seriously,” White House spokesman Judd Deere said in a statement. “White House Operations collaborates with the Physician to the President and the White House Military Office to ensure all plans and procedures incorporate current CDC guidance and best practices for limiting COVID-19 exposure to the greatest extent possible both on complex and when the President is traveling.”

It’s not known yet if the president and other staffers will be asked to quarantine.
