Kevin Spacey Lands First Movie Role Amid Sexual Assault Allegation Scandal

Kevin Spacey is getting back into movie-making.

The 61-year-old actor, who was sued by two men for alleged sexual assault when they were minors in the 1980s, is taking on a new acting gig in Italy.

However, the role is not for a movie in the United States, as he has remained largely shut out of Hollywood amid scandal.

According to ABC News, Kevin will star in an Italian film called L’uomo Che Disegno Dio (“The Man Who Drew God”), directed by Django actor Franco Nero.

The film is said to be about a blind artist who has an ability from God to draw portraits of people just by listening to their voice, who goes on to become a television star. Role details have not yet been revealed, but he will star alongside Franco Nero‘s wife, Vanessa Redgrave.

“I’m very happy Kevin agreed to participate in my film. I consider him a great actor and I can’t wait to start the movie,” the director told the news outlet.

He last appeared on camera in a Christmas video in 2020, and has otherwise been mostly absent on social media. He has faced multiple legal battles over alleged unwanted sexual advances since 2017. A massage therapist who accused the actor of sexual battery and assault died of natural causes last year.
