Jonas Brothers - 2009 Kids' Choice Awards

Nick, Kevin and Joe of the Jonas Brothers, pose for photographers at the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards, held at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion on Saturday night (March 28) in Westwood, Calif.

The terrific trio took over Radio Disney on Friday afternoon as they put on an acoustic performance!

About their upcoming tour, they said, “We’ve got new songs, new production elements and new instruments as well. In this new record, we tried to add some different sounds. We’ve been working a lot with horns. After we did the Grammy performance with Stevie Wonder, we had the five horn players behind us. We were like, ‘We should do this to our music and add this different sound to it.’ We incorporated it in our record and we’ll be playing with them this summer!”

Chris Brown Withdraws From Kids' Choice Awards

Chris Brown is withdrawing his name from consideration for the 2009 Kids’ Choice Awards.

A spokesman for the 19-year-old entertainer said, “Chris very much appreciates the support of his fans and the honor they have paid him in the way of nominations for Favorite Male Singer and Favorite Song. Unfortunately, the controversy surrounding the incident last month has shifted the focus from the music to whether he should be allowed to be among those nominated. While Chris would like to speak to his fans directly about this and other issues, pending legal proceedings preclude his doing so at this time. Once the matter before him has been resolved, he intends to do so.”

Oprah Winfrey recently weight in on the Rihanna and Chris Brown‘s domestic drama, saying, “Chris Brown and Rihanna, if I was your friend, I would call you up and I would say, ‘Give it some time, get yourself some counseling, take care of yourself.’ Heal yourself first… And also, love doesn’t hurt. I’ve been saying this to women for years: ‘If a man hits you once, he will hit you again.’ “
