It was a highly buzzed about evening with the reunion of ‘NSYNC at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards held at the Barclays Center on Sunday (August 25) and now the ratings reflect what happened during the show.

The telecast averaged 10.1 million viewers throughout the evening, which is up 66 percent over last year’s viewership of 6.1 million people, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It is important to note though that last year’s show was on a Thursday night.

The show, which also featured a much talked about performance from Miley Cyrus, did not break the record set in 2011 when Beyonce revealed her pregnancy on the red carpet.

Will Smith and his kids Jaden and Willow were spotted making some surprised faces while in the audience at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 25) and the moment went viral.

According to initial reports, the 44-year-old actor and his family were reacting to Miley Cyrus‘ scandalous performance of “We Can’t Stop” and “Blurred Lines.”

Now MTV has set the record straight and revealed it was really during Lady Gaga‘s performance of “Applause.” You can watch the moment in the video below and see the family checking out the show.

Will and the kids were seen clapping along and enjoying both Gaga and Miley‘s performance.

Earlier in the night, 35-year-old rapper was seen walking the red carpet at the show held at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

Katy Perry rocks a grill on her teeth while heading to an after party following the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards at PHD at the Dream Downton on Sunday evening (August 25) in New York City.

The 28-year-old entertainer performed at the show that night, closing it out with a performance of her hit song “Roar” from under the Brooklyn Bridge. What an epic ending to the night!

Taylor Swift and her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles reunite while attending a party together following the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday evening (August 25) at the SoHo Grand Hotel Club Room in New York City.

The 23-year-old singer and the 19-year-old One Direction heartthrob were joined at the party by mutual friend Ed Sheeran.

“Hosting the VMA after party @grandlifehotels With Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran & Harry Styles,” Instagram user @spikyphil said.

During the show, Taylor won the award for Best Female Video for “I Knew You Were Trouble” and she made a dig at the man who inspired the song. Many people believe that person is Harry. Watch the video below!

The 32-year-old entertainer took to his website that night to write a thank you letter to his fans for the support.

On Sept 30th, the second half of The 20/20 Experience, “The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2″, comes out. Since all these songs were written together over a year ago, it’s been so hard to wait this long to release them. I can’t wait for all of you to hear The 20/20 Experience in full.”

Justin Timberlake and his wife Jessica Biel arrive at PH-D at the Dream Downtown after the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday (August 24) in New York City.

The 32-year-old entertainer and Jessica, 31, were joined by Justin‘s ‘NSYNC band mates Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick at the big bash.

“I think I just caught my breath… That was an unforgettable night for me,” Justin tweeted shortly after the award show. “Thank you forever, @MTV. And thank you to my brother, @jimmyfallon for being there to present that award. It was perfect.”
