The guys of Metallica – Kirk Hammett, Lars Ulrich, Robert Trujillo and James Hetfield – hit the red carpet together at the 2014 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on Sunday (January 26) in Los Angeles.

The group took to the stage during the show to perform the song “One” alongside pianist Lang Lang.

Metallica was nominated for Best Recording Package for Metallica Through the Never (Music From the Motion Picture), but they lost to Reckless Kelly‘s Long Night Moon.

Ryan Seacrest stands on stage alongside John Legend and Recording Academy President Neil Portnow at the 2014 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on Sunday (January 26) in Los Angeles.

The 39-year-old television personality was joined at the show by the host of the evening LL Cool J.

Steven Tyler wraps his arms around Smokey Robinson while hitting the red carpet at the 2014 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on Sunday (January 26) in Los Angeles.

Before presenting an award, the 56-year-old rocker was spotted singing a surprising rendition of “You Really Got A Hold On Me” to Smokey.

Steven and Smokey presented the award for Best Record of the Year to Daft Punk for their hit song “Get Lucky.” The group beat out popular acts, such as Lorde, Robin Thicke, and Bruno Mars.

Gloria Estefan is red hot at the 2014 Grammy Awards held at the Staples Center on Sunday (January 26) in Los Angeles.

The 56-year-old singer was joined on the red carpet by Stevie Nicks.

During the ceremony, Gloria and Marc Anthony presented the Best Pop Vocal Album award to Bruno Mars, who beat out Lana Del Rey, Lorde, Robin Thicke, and Justin Timberlake.

“Didn’t win,tweeties,but so happy with the unconditional love and support you always give me and for the chance to live my life making music!” Gloria tweeted about her Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album nomination.

The 29-year-old singer met up with legendary singer Paul McCartney and also Pitch Perfect‘s Anna Kendrick while mingling with the celebs.

Katy was nominated for two awards this evening – Record of the Year and Best Pop Solo Performance for “Roar” – but she didn’t win either of the prizes.

During the show, Katy gave a great performance of her latest single “Dark Horse.”
