It was just announced that Norah Jones will be performing her Oscar-nominated song “Everybody Needs a Best Friend” at next month’s ceremony. The song is featured in Mark‘s hit comedy Ted!

“I had such a great time recording this song with Seth [MacFarlane], and was thrilled to find out that it was nominated for an Oscar,” Norah said in a statement. “Getting to perform it at such a prestigious event, which my friend is hosting, is a once in a lifetime opportunity.”

“I’m really excited about Transformers,” Mark shared. “Michael Bay and I just did Pain & Gain and we had such a good time making it. He came to me and said, ‘I’m kind of doing a whole different reboot on Transformers. Are you interested?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I’ll do it!’. I loved the idea and I think we can make something really cool and kick-ass. This is not something where it’s already established and I’m just in there to get a paycheck. I’m thinking this is the most important role of my career and I can do something really special.”

Mark Wahlberg heads back to his car after some shopping on Tuesday (November 27) in Beverly Hills, Calif.

The 41-year-old actor carried a “Dog Paint and Play Set” and was joined by his son Brendan, who enjoyed a lollipop.

It was recently announced that Mark will be an executive producer for The Happy Tree, a new show for Fox, according to Deadline.

The show “centers on a brilliant young corporate attorney who, after a nervous breakdown, quits his job and seeks a life of peace and serenity on Venice Beach only to find himself the unlikely voice for the marijuana ‘legalize it’ movement.”
