WWE wrestler Chyna passed away one year ago from a combination of alcohol and drugs at the age of 45.

At the time, she was filming a documentary about her life with documentarian Erik Angra. The trailer for this film – Wrestling with Chyna – debuted today. The documentary features Chyna‘s rise and fall from fame, her struggle with substance abuse, and, in the shocking last moments of the trailer, seemingly her death.

Chyna died suddenly during filming, when she was found dead. The documentary does not yet have a release date.

Joanie Laurer, aka Chyna, was found dead at the age of 45 and tributes have been pouring in on Twitter.

The 45-year-old famed wrestler was with the WWE for years, and famous wrestlers have been reacting to the tragic news on Twitter all throughout the evening after the news was reported.

Joanie Laurer, better known as Chyna, has reported passed away.

According to a statement on her official Twitter account, the former WWE wrestler was found dead at the age of 45.

“It is with deep sadness to inform you today that we lost a true icon, a real life superhero. Joanie Laurer aka Chyna, the 9th wonder of the world has passed away. She will live forever in the memories of her millions of fans and all of us that loved her,” the tweet read.
