Laverne Cox & Tituss Burgess Buddy Up at 'Once On This Island' Broadway Opening Night!

Laverne Cox is all smiles while posing alongside Tituss Burgess on the red carpet of the Once On This Island: Broadway Opening Night Celebration held at Circle in the Square Theatre on Sunday (December 3) in New York City.

The 45-year-old Orange Is The New Black star and the 38-year-old Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt star were also joined by Jenna Ushkowitz, Jordan Fisher, Clay Aiken, Kathryn Gallagher, Krysta Rodriguez, Billy Porter, Phylicia Rashad and the stars of the musical Alex Newell, Kenita R. Miller, Merle Dandridge, Hailey Kilgore, Lea Salonga and Quentin Earl Darrington.

Once On This Island is written by the Tony Award-winning team Lynn Ahrens (Book and Lyrics) and Stephen Flaherty (Music), and is the tale of Ti Moune, a fearless peasant girl who falls in love with a wealthy boy from the other side of the island. When their divided cultures keep them apart, Ti Moune is guided by the powerful island gods, Erzulie, Asaka, Papa Ge, and Agwe, on a remarkable quest to reunite with the man who has captured her heart.

Clay Aiken Apologizes for Defending Donald Trump

Clay Aiken is issuing an public apology after defending Donald Trump amid reactions to his recent press conference placing blame on “alt-right” and “alt-left” and defending neo-Nazis at the Charlottesville protests.

“Remember all those times I defended @realDonaldTrump and believed he was not actually racist? Well… I am a f*****g dumbass. #imsorry,” Clay posted on Twitter.

Later, he clarified, “TBC… I’ve always thought he would be a dumpster fire as a president, and I was right about that. I just didn’t think he was racist. #wrong.”

“Bitch, please! If you think I have EVER been a “Trump supporter” you’re as crazy as he is. #payattention….My party is the Democrats. I didn’t vote for the idiot. Never ever implied that I did or would. Was VERY vocal about not voting for him,” he added, indicating he voted for Hillary Clinton.

Clay appeared on Trump‘s reality show Celebrity Apprentice years ago.

VIDEO: Clay Aiken & Ruben Studdard Reunite for First TV Performance Together in 13 Years!

Clay Aiken was the runner-up to Ruben Studdard on the second season of American Idol and the longtime friends just reunited for their first television performance in 13 years!

The guys sang the holiday classic “This Christmas” during an appearance on The View on Thursday morning (December 15) in New York City.

Clay and Ruben said that they speak to each other on FaceTime at least once a week and they didn’t rule out the possibility of getting into the studio together again one day.

Megan Hilty & Colin Donnell Couple Up At Cirque du Soleil's 'Paramour' Opening Night!

Megan Hilty hits the red carpet with her husband Brian Gallagher while attending Cirque du Soleil’s Paramour On Broadway Opening Night Celebration held at the Lyric Theatre on Wednesday (May 25) in New York City.

The happy couple were joined at the event by Chicago Med‘s Colin Donnell and his wife Patti Murin, David Burtka, Clay Aiken, Brooke Shields, Christopher J. Hanke, Ivanka Trump and Gretchen Mol.

Jessica Sanchez Shows Off Powerhouse Vocals on 'Idol' Finale

Jessica Sanchez belts out an amazing rendition of “The Prayer” during American Idol‘s series finale on Thursday (April 7).

The 20-year-old season 11 runner-up was joined by prior contestants for a medley of songs, which was opened by Katharine McPhee and Casey James singing Lady Antebellum‘s “Need You Now”.

Other performers, who Harry Connick Jr. called “some of the best singers American Idol has discovered,” included Carly Smithson, Clay Aiken, Ruben Studdard and Amber Holcomb.

Clay Aiken Slams 'American Idol' & Criticizes 'Boring' Judges

Clay Aiken is not a fan of the show that made him famous.

The 37-year-old singer, who placed second in season two of American Idol, took to Twitter to complain about the final season premiere.

“Well… now I know why the ratings are down,” Clay tweeted. “Oh good Lord… those boring ass responses from the judges!? Where is Simon [Cowell] when you need him!? That guy need a hook to pull him off stage.”

He added “It’s VERY clear now that @SimonCowell was the reason @AmericanIdol was a hit. I’ve watched root canals more entertaining than these judges.”

Jenna Ushkowitz and Jonathan Groff hit the carpet at the Broadway opening night celebration of Spring Awakening held at The Brooks Atkinson Theatre on Sunday (September 27) in New York City.

The former Glee co-stars were joined at the event by Debra Messing, Mamie Gummer, Kelly Ripa, Brooke Shields, Clay Aiken, SNL‘s Taran Killam, Nolan Gerard Funk, T.R. Knight, Lance Bass and his love Michael Turchin, Peter Gallagher (whose daughter Kathryn is in the show!), Rosie O’Donnell and her son Blake, and Kathy Najimy with her husband Dan Finnerty.
