'Once Upon a Deadpool' Trailer - Deadpool 2's PG-13 Re-Release Adds New Cast Member!

Deadpool 2 is coming back to theaters as Once Upon a Deadpool in a rebrand that will take away its “R” rating and allow “PG-13″ audiences to see the film.

On December 12, Ryan Reynolds‘ hit film will be returning to theaters in an edited PG-13 version, which now includes actor Fred Savage. Fred filmed some new scenes for the re-release, which pays homage to his 1987 movie The Princess Bride.

“Fox has been asking for a PG-13 basically since the start in 2006,” Ryan told Deadline. “I’ve said no since 2006. Now, this one time, I said ‘Yes’ on two conditions. First, a portion of the proceeds had to go to charity. Second, I wanted to kidnap Fred Savage. The second condition took some explaining…”

Fred Savage Denies Claims of Harassment & Aggressive Behavior, Fox Defends Him As Well

Fox has investigated claims that actor Fred Savage verbally harassed female crew members on the set of The Grinder back when the show was on the air in 2015-2016, and “no evidence” was found.

“Fox takes all allegations of improper conduct very seriously,” 20th Century Fox said (via Variety). “We conducted a thorough investigation into these allegations and found no evidence of any wrongdoing on the part of Mr. Savage. We will vigorously defend against these unfounded claims.”

A former female crew member filed a lawsuit against Fred and Fox on Wednesday (March 21), saying Fred created “an extremely hostile work environment” with “aggressive behavior, intimidation, and constant use of profanities aimed toward female employees was left unchecked.”

Fox Cancels 'The Grinder' & 'Grandfathered'; Rob Lowe Reacts

Fox has canceled several comedy series including Rob Lowe‘s The Grinder and John StamosGrandfathered.

Other shows that did not get a renewal include Cooper Barrett’s Guide to Surviving Life and the animated series Bordertown.

“#TheGrinder was not renewed by @FOXTV It was unapologetically original, smart, funny and had a murder’s row of talent. #GrinderRests,” Rob tweeted after the news was announced. “The great news is, that film is forever. And I’m thrilled to have 22 episodes that were as acclaimed as they were. Time well spent! And there is still Grindr. So there’s that. #NotAllBadNews.”
