Senator John Glenn, who was also a well known astronaut, passed away at the age of 95.

News reports came in this week that John was in the hospital, but no immediate case of death has been revealed. Ohio Governor John Kasich confirmed John‘s death.

Astronaut and politician John Glenn has sadly passed away.

He was 95 years old. Right now, there are no further details on his death, which was confirmed by Ohio Governor John Kasich, according to the Washington Post.

If you remember, John was one of the original “Magnificent Seven” NASA astronauts and he was the first to circumnavigate the world in 1962.

After his career as an astronaut, John served four terms as a United States senator from Ohio, his last term being in 1998 at age 77.
