Phife Dawg Dead - A Tribe Called Quest Founding Member Dies at 45
Phife Dawg, a founding member of the iconic rap group A Tribe Called Quest, has passed away at the age of 45 on Wednesday (March 23), TMZ reports.
While no cause of death was given, the 45-year-old rapper had some health issues over the past few years. He had a kidney transplant in 2008 and suffered from Type 1 diabetes.
A Tribe Called Quest consists of MC/producer Q-Tip and DJ/producer Ali Shaheed Muhammad, but no statement has been officially released.
