Silento has been indicted by a grand jury in the murder of his cousin.
TMZ reports that the 23-year-old rapper, who is best known for “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)”, has been charged in four felonies.

Silento, the rapper best known for his song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae),” has been arrested for felony murder.
The 23-year-old entertainer has been accused of murdering his cousin, who was killed on January 21.
The DeKalb County Police Department in Georgia released a statement on Monday (February 1) to announce the arrest of Silento, whose real name is Ricky Hawk.
“Today, Ricky Hawk, 23, was arrested for the murder of his cousin Frederick Rooks, 34. On January 21, the DeKalb County Police Department investigated Rooks’ death after he was found shot on Deep Shoals Circle. Hawk is in the DeKalb County Jail charged with Murder. #WeAreDKPD,” the police department tweeted.
Rooks was pronounced dead at the scene of the crime and authorities say he was shot in the face and leg. He had a “possible faint pulse” when the first officers arrived on the scene, but by the time EMS and the fire department arrived, he had died, according to XXL.
Silento was arrested for another violent crime back in September.

Silento is facing felony assault charges after being accused of attacking two people with a hatchet.
The 22-year-old “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” rapper, whose legal name is Richard Lamar Hawk, was arrested and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced on Thursday (September 3).
Prosecutors allege that Silento walked into an unlocked stranger’s house – thinking it was his girlfriend’s house – in the Valley Village neighborhood of L.A. on Saturday (August 29) and tried to hit two people with a hatchet, before one of them was able to get the hatchet away from him.
Silento‘s friends then arrived at the home and told him that it was the wrong house. Silento and his friends left before police arrived.
Police eventually found Silento and arrested him. He is currently being held in custody on $250,000 bond.
The day before on Friday, August 28, Silento was arrested for a separate alleged domestic violence incident. He was taken into custody in Santa Ana, Calif and was charged of inflicting corporal injury on a spouse or cohabitant in a domestic violence incident. After posting bond, he was released.
Silento is set to be arraigned on Friday, September 4 in the hatchet incident. If convicted, he could receive a maximum of six years in prison.

The 20-year-old rapper and singer-songwriter first shot to superstardom with his hit single “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” in 2015, which became a No. 3 hit on the Billboard Hot 100.
“It was a Friday night and I found myself riding around the city of Atlanta with a female friend. Just listening to some music that, I was working on before heading to the studio. You can say that I was introducing her to a more creative side of me,” Silento explains to Just Jared.
“When I got to the studio the producer played a few tracks then stopped on a track that immediately had everybody moving. All I can say is that the vibe was right from the beginning of the night even before getting into the studio. When entering the recording booth I started to blurt out ‘Issa Vibe’ and it was perfect.”
“‘Issa Vibe’ is a feeling that we get when everything is just going right. So, when my fans hear it for the first time I hope that they have the same vibe that I had when making this record.”

Silento walks the orange carpet in his Rugrats throwback outfit at the 2016 Kids’ Choice Awards held at The Forum on Saturday (March 12) in Los Angeles.
The 18-year-old entertainer hit the stage later that evening to sing his smash hit song “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)” on the huge outdoor stage.
