John Krasinski is giving us a look at his character in the upcoming Amazon series Tom Clancy’s Jack Ryan in this 2018 Super Bowl commercial!

The 38-year-old The Office actor plays Jack Ryan, the hero of Tom Clancy‘s best-selling spy novels.

The series follows “an up-and-coming CIA analyst thrust into a dangerous field assignment for the first time. Ryan uncovers a pattern in terrorist communication that launches him into the center of a dangerous gambit with a new breed of terrorism that threatens destruction on a global scale.”

The explosive commercial marks Prime Video’s first-ever Super Bowl ad.

It’s set to a cover of Bob Dylan‘s “All Along the Watchtower” by Devlin and Ed Sheeran, and it features audio from various U.S. presidents.

Executive produced by John, Jack Ryan also stars The Wire‘s Wendell Pierce and Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri‘s Abbie Cornish.

Best selling author Tom Clancy has passed away at the age of 66, New York Times writer Julie Bosman reported from her Twitter account earlier in the day.

“Tom Clancy‘s publisher confirms to the NYT that he died last night in a hospital in Baltimore.” the New York Times writer tweeted out to her followers. No word on the cause of death.

The famed writer was known for numerous works, including the Jack Ryan series, as well as books which inspired movies such as The Hunt for Red October, Patriot Games, and Clear and Present Danger.
