Michelle Obama: Read Across America Kickoff!

Michelle Obama helps kick off the National Education Association’s Read Across America program on Wednesday (March 2) at The Library of Congress in Washington, D.C.

The 47-year-old First Lady read some Dr. Seuss books to a group of kids at the event, which was also attended by Jessica Alba, Top Chef host Padma Lakshmi, Bridget Moynahan, and Mehcad Brooks.

The same day, Michelle was on hand for the National Medal of Arts and National Humanities Medal ceremony in the East Room of the White House, where President Obama honored 20 individuals.
