Rashida Jones: 'Celeste & Jesse' Pays Respect to Rom-Coms

Rashida Jones heads inside the SiriusXM Studios on Thursday (August 2) in New York City.

The 36-year-old actress has been hard at work promoting her latest film Celeste and Jesse Forever, which she not only stars in, but wrote the screenplay for as well.

“I think what we wanted to do was pay our respects to the [romantic comedy] conventions that work, because they’re the conventions we grew up on and we loved,” Rashida said about the film to the Washington Post. “Then try our best to invert, subvert, convert those into something slightly fresher and maybe add a bit of a surprising element to the convention.”
