Tom Hanks: 'Captain Phillips' Tokyo Press Conference!

Tom Hanks flashes a smile while attending a press conference for his latest film Captain Phillips held at Tokyo Midtown on Friday (October 18) in Tokyo, Japan.

The 57-year-old actor was joined by director Paul Greengrass.

The night before, Tom donned a suit while arriving at the 2013 Tokyo International Film Festival Opening Ceremony with Paul.

“Playtone has attempted to portray many of the dimensions of that story on screen,” Tom said in a statement about his partnership with Ken Burns to offer a new series of American history audio books. “Now, thanks to our partnership with Audible and by working with some of the finest actors we have known, we will give voice to the best fiction and nonfiction ever written about America.”
