Scandal's Season 3 Episodes Reduced From 22 to 18, Kerry Washington's Pregnancy a Factor?

The hit show Scandal has just had its episode order reduced from the originally planned 22 episodes to 18 episodes, Deadline reports.

While the show does excellent in the ratings, its main star Kerry Washington is pregnant with her first child! The 36-year-old actress and her football player hubby Nnamdi Asomugha got married earlier this year.

Kerry has never publicly confirmed the upcoming baby, and while the network gave no official reasoning for the reduced series order, it is being speculated that that is key.

“Oh Dear Lord @KatieQLowes you are brilliant and beautiful.” Kerry tweeted recently after live tweeted the last Scandal episode.
