Robert Pattinson: Cannes is the Best Place to Promote Films

Robert Pattinson plays it casual while heading out of Hotel Martinez with his bag on Wednesday (May 21) in Cannes, France.

The 28-year-old actor is seemingly headed home after the 2014 Cannes Film Festival, where he was promoting two films, The Rover and Map to the Stars.

“I am trying to eliminate any bit of vanity,” Rob recently told USA Today about why he liked getting grimy for The Rover. “I want to avoid any opportunity to pose (for the camera). Or whatever. Because if you get that opportunity to pose, you will probably take it.”

He continued about the festival, “I decided [during my first trip in 2012] I wanted to get every film into Cannes. It was something I have been specifically aiming for, 100 percent. It’s just the best place to promote movies and this festival has this cachet.”
