Matt Damon & Valerie Harper Honor Heroes Who Lead the Fight Against Cancer

Matt Damon and Valerie Harper pair up for a picture at the Mass General Hospital Cancer Center’s 2014 The One Hundred event held at the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel on Tuesday evening (June 10) in Boston, Mass.

The 43-year-old actor, who is from the greater Boston area, was also joined at the event by August: Osage County‘s Chris Cooper and singer Phillip Phillips.

The event honors the everyday heroes who are leading the fight against cancer.

Valerie has been battling cancer in her brain for some time now.
