Edgar Ramirez to Play Jennifer Lawrence's Husband in 'Joy'!

Edgar Ramirez is set to play the husband to Jennifer Lawrence‘s character in the upcoming biopic Joy!

The 37-year-old Venezuelan actor is a Golden Globe nominated actor best known for his work in the acclaimed mini-series Carlos. He has also been seen in Zero Dark Thirty, Deliver Us from Evil, and will star in the upcoming Point Break remake.

In Joy, which will be directed by David O. Russell, Jennifer plays Joy Mangano, “a fixture on the Home Shopping Network with her many inventions, whose Miracle Mop was her ticket to fame and fortune. She began her inventing as a teen and kept on dreaming and tinkering while still a single mom raising three kids,” according to THR.

Edgar will play her dapper and philandering husband, whom she eventually divorces. Robert De Niro will be in the film as her father.
