Eva Longoria Puts Focus on Sports World in New ESPN Films, 'Versus'!

Eva Longoria rocks a slimming yellow dress as she speaks on stage about her new series Versus at the ESPN Films panel held during the 2015 TCA Press Tour on Wednesday (January 7) at the Langham Huntington Hotel & Spa in Pasadena, Calif.

The 39-year-old actress dished about putting her focus on the sports world in the new series of short films she is executive producing for ESPN.

Eva‘s first effort for the series, which is debuting in May, is about Sebastien De La Cruz, the young mariachi singer whose performance of the national anthem before Game 3 of the 2013 NBA Finals set off a barrage of racist tweets about Latinos and immigrants.

“I really wanted to tell that story because what came out of it was something beautiful and a really great lesson,” Eva expressed during the panel (via ABC News). “We got into this little boy who plays soccer and was thrown into the center of this debate about immigration and what it’s about to be Mexican.”
