With the win, Serena is only two Grand Slam wins away from tying Steffi Graf for the most Grand Slams ever in the women’s game.
“I think [Serena] is living in an exciting time. Honestly, I think she can get there and then do much better because she has the talent and the opportunities. I really won’t worry if Serena beats my record or not, I have never been interested in numbers. I gave everything in my career. It’s not a problem if she does better than me — it won’t keep me from sleeping,” Steffi shared.
