Keira Knightley's Broadway Debut Interrupted by Screaming Audience Member
Keira Knightley steps out of the American Airlines Theatre following the first preview performance of her Broadway show Therese Raquin on Thursday (October 1) in New York City.
The 30-year-old actress experienced a rare moment on the Great White Way when an audience member started screaming during the show.
According to audience reports, a man seated in the mezzanine level stood up and loudly asked Keira to marry him in the middle of the performance. He was removed by security and when he reached the last row of the mezzanine, he threw a bouquet of flowers to the stage. The throw was so powerful that it reportedly landed towards the back of the stage!
Keira‘s co-star Gabriel Ebert motioned to the flowers on stage and then kicked them into the wings, which received major applause from the crowd.
