Nikolaj Coster-Waldau on 'Gods of Egypt' Whitewashing Critics: 'I'm Not Even Playing an Egyptian'
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau is all smiles while heading into The Today Show‘s studios on Thursday morning (February 25) in New York City.
The 45-year-old actor recently responded to critics of his upcoming movie Gods of Egypt who say that the film whitewashes Egyptian characters.
“A lot of people are getting really worked up online about the fact that I’m a white actor. I’m not even playing an Egyptian; I’m an 8-foot-tall god who turns into a falcon. A part of me just wants to freak out, but then I think, ‘There’s nothing you can do about it.’ You can’t win in that sort of discussion,” Nikolaj said.
FYI: Nikolaj is wearing a Tatras Reno coat.
