Olivia Wilde Was Considered 'Too Old' for 'Wolf of Wall Street'
Olivia Wilde carries a shopping bag while hanging out with her Vinyl co-star Bobby Cannavale on Wednesday afternoon (March 16) in New York City.
The 32-year-old actress recently stopped by The Howard Stern Show where she revealed she was considered “too old” to star in 2013′s Wolf of Wall Street alongside Leonardo DiCaprio.
“The funniest thing I heard recently was I had heard for a part that I was too sophisticated. And I was like, ‘Oh, that sounds nice.’ I like that feedback,” Olivia said. “I didn’t get the part, but I’m a very sophisticated person. And then I found out later that they actually said ‘old.’ I want to make a translation sheet for Hollywood that’s all the feedback your agents give you and what it really means.”
Olivia later took to Twitter to add, “My point about not being cast in Wolf o W-Street was that we have to trust the process because I ended up with my dream job on Vinyl…And my interview went on to say that Margot Robbie crushed that role like a sexy ninja and I LOVED her in it.’⚡️’”
