Kanye West's Fans Swarm NYC Block for Surprise Show That Didn't Happen

Kanye West hits the stage during the Hot 97 Summer Jam Festival held at the Metlife Stadium on Sunday (June 5) in East Rutherford, New Jersey.

The 38-year-old entertainer was set to perform at the last day of the Governor’s Ball that afternoon, but instead joined Big Sean and Pusha T on stage for a surprise performance.

That same evening, Kanye was set to host a surprise concert at Webster Hall but it was cancelled after an estimated 4,000 people crowd showed up and police shut it down.

In a Snapchat video captured by his wife Kim Kardashian, Kanye could be heard on the phone commanding: “Either call the mayor and shut down the block about four streets… so they can have a party outside. I know its sold out already” – Watch below!
