Eddie Redmayne Had Trouble Explaining His 'Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them' Wand to Airport Customs

Eddie Redmayne actually brought his Fantastic Beasts character’s wand to the United States!

The 34-year-old actor recently revealed that he carried Newt’s wand through the airport.

“I brought it because I felt like it would be reassuring to have Newt’s wand,” Eddie told AOL Build. “But then we were coming through customs and I suddenly realize that a wand looks like a really sharp, scary object and then to try and explain it to a customs person, I was like, ‘Have you seen the … No?’ That was a bit disastrous.”

Eddie was spotted touching back down at Heathrow Airport after returning from the U.S. on Sunday (November 13) in London, England.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theaters on November 18.
