Donald Trump 'Disavows & Condemns' the Alt-Right Movement
Donald Trump has spoken out against the actions of the alt-right movement.
The President-elect paid a visit to The New York Times office on Tuesday (November 22) in New York City to give an interview to the newspaper and have a discussion about its coverage.
“I don’t want to energize the group, and I disavow and condemn them,” Trump reportedly said. “It’s not a group I want to energize, and if they are energized, I want to look into it and find out why.”
The alt-right movement has been making headlines this week for events where attendees cried out “Heil Trump” and used the Nazi salute. White supremacist members of the movement have claimed that Trump‘s election will help their agenda.
