Alan Thicke Dead - 'Growing Pains' Actor Dies at 69

Such sad news – Alan Thicke, best known for his work on Growing Pains and for being the father of singer Robin Thicke, has died at the age of 69.

The legendary actor reportedly had a heart attack while playing hockey with his 19-year-old son Carter on Tuesday (December 13) and was pronounced dead at Providence St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Burbank, Calif.

Alan is an organ donor and a company was called to recover some of his organs, according to TMZ.

Best known for playing dad Jason Seaver on Growing Pains, Alan most recently appeared on the second season of Fuller House and even tweeted about it hours before his death.

Alan is survived by his wife Tanya Callau and his three kids – Robin, Brennan, and Carter. We send our condolences to his loved ones during this difficult time.
