French Director Luc Besson Has Been Accused of Rape

Luc Besson is being investigated by French authorities after he has been accused of rape.

The 59-year-old French director has been accused of rape by an unnamed 27-year-old French actress – who brought forward complains against the director on Friday (May 18), Europe 1 reports.

According to the reports, the actress claims Luc invited her to a meeting the Le Bristol hotel in Paris and then put something in her tea causing her to lose consciousness. When she woke up, Luc was apparently touching and penetrating her.

Luc then reportedly left the hotel before her, leaving her with the bill.

After reports broke, Luc‘s lawyer released a statement saying, “Mr. Besson fell off his chair when he learned of these accusations, which he flatly denies.

Luc most recently directed the 2017 film Valerian and a Thousand Planets starring Cara Delevingne and Rihanna.
