Mindy Kaling Says She Pretended To Date Chadwick Boseman at Met Gala 2018!

Mindy Kaling made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon on Wednesday (May 23) and talked all about how she tried to convince attendees at the 2018 Met Gala that she and Chadwick Boseman were together.

“He was sitting next to me, and I felt like I kept kind of trying to make it seem like we were together ‘cause he didn’t have a date,” the 38-year-old actress explained to Jimmy.

“I pretended we had all these private jokes and things like that,” Mindy added. “He thought it was weird. But I was like, whatever, I’m wearing a crown. It’s fine.”

“I felt like someone could look at us and think like ‘OK, he plays a king. She looks like a queen,” Mindy said. “They’re the king and queen of some really b-tching Third World country.’”
