Anne Hathaway Explains Her 'Bad' First On-Screen Performance on 'Late Show' - Watch Here!

Anne Hathaway stopped by The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on Thursday (May 24) and talked about her first on-screen performance: a 1997 Better Homes and Gardens commercial, when she was just 14-years-old.

“That paid for my first year of college,” the 35-year-old actress told Stephen. “It ran for a very long time.”

“So I didn’t know that we were actually making the commercial until three hours into shooting,” Anne added. “I was, like, saving it. I was like, ‘I want to be really good for when the cameras are actually rolling.’ And I thought they were moving the camera because they didn’t like the angle. It was bad.”

Anne also talked about working with Meryl Streep in Devil Wears Prada and her role in the upcoming Ocean’s 8 – Watch below!
