Andrew Garfield Dedicates His Tony Award to LGBTQ Community
Andrew Garfield proudly holds up his trophy while accepting a Tony at the 2018 Tony Awards held at Radio City Music Hall on Sunday (June 10) in New York City.
The 34-year-old actor won the award for Best Performance by a Leading Actor in a Play for his work in the two-part play Angels in America.
Andrew dedicated his award to the LGBTQ community and referenced the case of a bakery that refused to bake a cake for a gay couple.
“We are all sacred. And we all belong, so let’s just bake a cake for everyone who wants a cake to be baked,” he said.
