Beyonce & Jay-Z Hit The Stage at City of Hope's Spirit of Life Gala 2018!

Beyoncé sparkles as she hits the stage as the special guest during the City of Hope’s Spirit of Life Gala 2018 held at Barker Hangar on Thursday (October 11) in Santa Monica, Calif.

The 37-year-old entertainer performed a powerful three-song set, including her 2009 smash hit “Halo,” “Ava Maria” and Ed Sheeran‘s “Perfect,” in honor of Chairman & CEO of Warner/Chappell Music, Jon Platt.

“Most people lead with their ego, but you lead with your heart,” Beyoncé expressed about Jon during her performance (via The Washington Post). “You have touched so many lives, mine included.”

Beyoncé‘s husband Jay-Z also hit the stage to present Jon with the Spirit of Life Award, calling him the “Obama of the music industry.”
