Kevin Spacey Appears in Court for First Day of Alleged Sexual Assault Case

Kevin Spacey is in court.

The 59-year-old former House of Cards actor appeared in court for the first time with his legal team for an arraignment in a sexual assault case on Monday morning (January 7) in Nantucket, Mass.

Kevin was in court for one count of indecent assault and battery stemming from an incident in 2016. The alleged victim was 18 at the time when he claims Kevin assaulted him after getting him drunk at the Club Car Restaurant in Nantucket in 2016.

Kevin, who faces a potential maximum sentence of five years in prison, did not enter a plea, nor did he speak according to THR.

His next court date is March 4, and he does not have to be physically present as long as he is available by phone.

Prosecutors say there is video evidence posted to Snapchat of the alleged assault, reportedly featuring the actor sticking his hands in the teenager’s pants. Kevin‘s legal team claims the video doesn’t show anything criminal.

He is still being investigated in Los Angeles and England for other alleged sexual assaults.
