Joey King & Patricia Arquette's 'The Act' Gets Jaw-Dropping New Trailer from Hulu

The full-length trailer for Hulu’s new series The Act, starring Joey King and Patricia Arquette, has been released and it will have you on the edge of your seat.

The first season of the new anthology series follows the real-life story of Gypsy Blanchard (King), a girl trying to escape the toxic relationship she has with her overprotective mother, Dee Dee (Arquette). Her quest for independence opens a Pandora’s box of secrets, one that ultimately leads to murder.

The series is co-created by Michelle Dean and Nick Antosca, based on Dean‘s original Buzzfeed article, “Dee Dee Wanted Her Daughter To Be Sick, Gypsy Wanted Her Mom Murdered.”

Also starring in the series are Chloe Sevigny, AnnaSophia Robb, and Calum Worthy. The first two episode of The Act premiere on Hulu on Wednesday, March 20, with the remaining six episodes streaming weekly.
