Dakota Johnson Goes Gucci at Met Gala 2019!

Dakota Johnson looks absolutely stunning on the red carpet at the 2019 Met Gala held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art on Monday (May 6) in New York City.

The 29-year-old actress’ stylist, Kate Young, spoke about the dress choice with InStyle.

“She’s like the [image of the] Sacred Heart Madonna,” Kate said. “It feels very Gucci and also feels very her. It’s romantic and slightly dark.”

“We’ve been talking about Dakota’s dress for a long time — a couple of months,” Kate added.

And about Dakota‘s head piece? “You know how when you think of those Madonnas with the bleeding hearts, they sort of have a crown on their head? That was the inspiration for that. It’s not so literal — it’s not like something from a costume shop. It’s so Gucci, and really pretty and special.”
