Netflix Has Only Removed Episodes of One Original Show

Netflix has hundreds of original series and movies on its platform and it was just revealed that company has removed episodes of just one original show.

In an article examining the streaming service’s “problem” with talk shows, it was revealed that 66 episodes of Chelsea Handler‘s talk show Chelsea have been removed from the platform.

This is “the only instance of the company’s having scrubbed content that it owned and created,” a spokeswoman for Netflix told the New York Times.

Brandon Riegg, Netflix’s vice president of nonfiction series and comedy specials, says the episodes were removed ahead of the launch of Chelsea‘s second season to provide “an easy way for viewers to catch up before the new episodes launched.”
