R. Kelly Is Facing Sex Crime Charges in Minnesota

R. Kelly is facing more charges of sexual misconduct.

The 52-year-old disgraced singer was just charged with sexual crimes against an underage girl in the state of Minnesota.

R. Kelly has been charged with “two counts of engaging in prostitution with an individual under 18 years old and offering to hire for sexual purposes a person under 18,” according to Variety.

The incident happened in 2001 and the victim was an autograph seeker who was paid $200 to “remove her clothes and have sexual relations with the musician at his Minneapolis hotel.”

Hennepin County State’s Attorney Mike Freeman says the victim was at least 16 years old, but under 18, at the time of the incident. There was no sexual intercourse between the singer and the victim, but the incident involved “dancing and sexual contact.”

R. Kelly is facing 18 total counts of sexual misconduct and other charges in Chicago and New York.
