Britney Spears' Father Jamie Officially Steps Down as Her Conservator

Britney Spears‘ father Jamie has officially stepped down as her conservator.

The news comes just days after Jamie asked a judge to relinquish his powers of conservatorship due to “personal health reasons.”

Members of Britney‘s legal team as well as Kevin Federline‘s attorney and her mother Lynn‘s lawyers appeared in court on Monday (September 9) to discuss the situation.

According to The Blast, the judge approved Britney‘s care manager Jodi Montgomery to take over as a temporary conservator.

The change in conservatorship comes amid reports that Kevin filed a restraining order and an abuse claim with police following allegations of a physical altercation between Jamie and Britney and Kevin‘s 13-year-old son, Sean Preston.
