Robert De Niro's Lawyer Reacts to Former Assistant's Discrimination & Harassment Lawsuit

Robert De Niro‘s attorney is speaking out.

After the Academy Award winner took his former executive assistant to court for $6 million over allegedly embezzling company funds, Graham Chase Robinson hit back with her own lawsuit on Thursday (October 3).

“Robert De Niro is someone who has clung to old mores. He does not accept the idea that men should treat women as equals,” the lawsuit, which is seeking $12 million in damages for gender discrimination, harassment, back pay and labor law violations, reads.

“He does not care that gender discrimination in the workplace violates the law,” it goes on to read, claiming that he treated her like “an office wife” and subjected her to “unwanted physical contact.”

“The allegations made by Graham Chase Robinson against Robert De Niro are beyond absurd,” the actor’s lawyer said in a response statement.
