Kevin Hart Breaks Silence After Car Accident

Kevin Hart is speaking out for the first time since his car accident.

The 40-year-old actor released a statement through his attorney on Thursday (October 10) where he mentioned Jared Black and Rebecca Broxterman, the two individuals who were in the car with him during the accident.

“I have nothing but love for Jared and wish him and Rebecca a speedy recovery,” Kevin shared.

The crash occurred on September 1st after Jared, who was driving Kevin‘s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda in Malibu Hills, Calif, lost control of the car and veered off the road, landing in a gully after smashing through a wooden fence.

Kevin was then hospitalized for “major back injuries” and had to undergo surgery, and was discharged 10 days after the crash to recover in a rehab facility.

Kevin‘s attorney Andrew Brettler also revealed to EW that Kevin will not be fully back to work until early 2020.

“While he’s doing a little work here and there for the film, he doesn’t expect to be fully back to work until the new year,” Andrew shared.

It is being reported that Kevin has only shot promotional material for his upcoming movie Jumanji: The Next Level. Kevin can walk on his own, but spends most of the day sitting and needs to continue working on his physical therapy.
