Meghan Markle & Prince Harry Won't Be Spending Christmas with the Royals - Read the Statement
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex (aka Prince Harry and Meghan Markle) will not spend Christmas with the Queen, Prince William, Duchess Kate Middleton, and the rest of the royal family.
“The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are looking forward to extended family time towards the end of this month. Having spent the last two Christmases at Sandringham, [the couple] will spend the holiday this year, as a new family, with the Duchess’ mother Doria,” royal reporter Omid Scobie tweeted out in a statement from the Palace. “This decision is in line with precedent set previously by other members of the Royal Family, and has the support of Her Majesty The Queen.”
The Palace will not be sharing further details about their Christmas plans for security reasons.
Last Christmas, Duchess Kate and Prince William walked alongside Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry en route to their Christmas celebration.
