President Trump Reacts to Impeachment Vote, Says 'I'm Not Worried'

President Donald Trump is reacting to being impeached. on Wednesday evening (December 18).

During a campaign rally in Battle Creek, Michigan, the 73-year-old president reacted to the House of Representatives voting to remove him from his position as President of the United States.

“I don’t know about you, but I’m having a good time,” Trump said to supporters via USA Today. “I’m not worried.”

Trump didn’t seem too concerned about the vote, explaining that the Republican party is now stronger than ever.

“We had 198 to 229. We didn’t lose one Republican vote and three Democrats voted for us,” Trump said. “The Republican party has never been so affronted, but they’ve never been so united as they are right now…Three Democrats went over to our side. That’s unheard of.”

President Trump will now be tried in the Senate with all 100 Senators acting as jurors.

“I know the senators, and they’re great guys and women too,” Trump added. “We have some great women, great guys. They love this country. They’re going to do the right thing.”

Trump is accused of abusing his power and pressuring Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election, and also of obstruction of the impeachment inquiry process.
